Best Buddies Young Leaders Council Application

Educate, Engage, Empower. Join the YLC today!

Interested in empowering those around you? The Young Leaders Council (YLC) is a group of leaders established to provide the student perspective for the advancement of Best Buddies International initiatives. Composed of passionate and dedicated members, the YLC strives to connect with other student leaders within Best Buddies. You may be asking yourself, “How does one group manage to foster all students’ ideas?” In order to best represent all student interests, the diverse council is divided into five different committees: Chapter Development, Leadership Conference, Communications, Education Outreach and Expansion, and the National and International YLC Development Committee. Although focused on specialized developments, all of the committees work hand in hand to further student empowerment within Best Buddies. Members are responsible for generating innovative ideas and communicating with their committees and the council on a monthly basis. In addition, members take an active role at Best Buddies Leadership Conference. We encourage student leaders of all abilities to apply to the YLC today! Applicants will be assessed based on leadership skills. The strongest applicants will proceed to the interview round conducted by current YLC members.
