It’s YLC Application Time!

It is hard to believe that six months have gone by since our first YLC meeting at Leadership Conference 2012 – six months of hard work, dedication, and passion from our incredible YLC members. The time has come to expand our team to include more incredible young leaders in the Inclusion Revolution. We could not be more excited!

Interested in applying? Here’s everything you need to know:

What is the YLC?

The Young Leaders Council (YLC) provides the student and participant perspective for all Best Buddies International initiatives. Members of the YLC serve on committees focused on various aspects of Best Buddies involvement to maintain a steady, dynamic connection between program participants and Best Buddies International.

Who can apply?

Any participant in a Best Buddies program is welcome to apply!

What is the YLC Commitment?

Individuals selected to join the YLC will serve a two-year term, beginning July 2013. YLC expectations include:

    • Attending an in-person meeting at the annual Best Buddies International Leadership Conference (hosted annually during the third weekend in July).
    • Participating in monthly YLC conference calls
    • Participating in, and actively contributing to, a YLC committee assignment
    • Providing support to Best Buddies initiatives and state programs

What are we looking for?

We are looking for 3 simple things in your application: dedication to the Best Buddies mission and vision, proven leadership experience, and a passion for inclusion.

When is the application deadline?

All applications must be submitted by Friday, February 22nd at 11:59pm EST.
